I love taking photos of diners, signs, neons etc. Endless subject matter in the USA but we seem to have far fewer here. Some may say that's may good thing.

9/11 Memorial

We queued a while to get into the memorial site at Ground Zero. Once we'd got past the inevitable airport security we were blown away at the peace and tranquility of the place despite lots of people milling around.
Also met a guy who worked for Polaroid for 8 years

FPP UK 2012 - Photo Meet and Walk

I thought I would share some images from the Second Annual Film Photography Podcast UK Meet.

came over to the UK from Butler New Jersey and, along with about 40 other listeners from the UK, Spain, Belgium, Canada all converged at the Lomography East Store in Spitalfields.

We had such a great day, shooting film, comparing cameras, hanging out with like minded people.

I know this started out as a photo blog for my black & white darkroom images but really it's become about all things analogue.
I have always loved this slide film shot of a peacock and it now has a new lease of life thanks to the Vivitar slide printer and the wonderful Fuji instant peel apart film

Instant Santorini Church

I've been using the Vivitar Instant Slide Printer again.
Some slides work better than others, this rich coloured Kodachrome slide from nearly 20 years ago has transferrred well to Fuji FP100c Instant Film.
I can't believe it's nearly 20 years since we back packed around the Greek Islands

Vivitar Instant Slide Printer

My latest toy is a Vivitar Instant Slide Printer...it's rather good......pop in a slide from the past, load a pack of Fuji Instant Peel Apart Film, press Print and away you go.

Of course I could have bought a slide or film scanner...but where's the fun in that!
